Would the real Yes Al*** please stand up.

I have just listed The Yes Album on Ebay. I was under the impression mine was an original, and listed it as such but I could be wrong.
Its a single gatefold sleeve, shiney on the front dull on the back and the record centre is a single plum coulour with the atlantic badge.
However there are a number of listings saying the double gatefold is the original, with the three split colour centre.
Did I do wrong?

Gary,
Whoops! - you may have made a boo-boo there. The original 1st pressing of 'The Yes Album' should be in a gatefold sleeve with Atlantic Cat. No. 2400 101. The label is a distinctive two-colours one with a half-inch wide horizontal white band across the middle, red above it and plum colour below. What you have would appear to be a later re-issue. Hope this helps,
David

Gary,
Yours looks more like an american pressing, not the polydor UK pressed UK. It's the polydor pressed Cat. No. 2400 101 which is considered the original.
They sell for £20-£35 depending on condition.
About 1974 Atlantic (and Warners and Electra, etc) passed into the Kinney group for UK editions with Knnnnn catalogue numbers.
It's possible to find some Yes LPs with K numbers on the sleeve (a sticker sometimes) but with the 7 digit plum label polydor pressing inside. My 'Fragile' is like that.

Dear Oldie - do you have a copy of Time Honoured Ghosts by BJH, mine was destroyed in an accident and I haven't been able to find another, even to record.

You buy one of these
Rare Record Price Guide - but don't believe everything it tells you, you probably won't get anything like the quoted prices, unless it's absolutely
mint.
