Just gone HD

The reason being on Christmas eve my cat died, then 2 hours later the power supply on the Infocus 5700 projector died and the hard drive on my PVR failed - well they say trouble comes in threes.
Anyway upgraded to Infocus IN82 (from avwow) which arrived today, Panasonic TH42BZ80B for daytime, matrix switch and blue ray player arriving soon.
First impressions of the IN82 - it ranges from crap to brilliant. Watching TV via the media center (vista) after fighting with the software got a great picture. DVD best option was to feed the projector straight native interlaced - watched the matrix and better than the 5700 odd as it had to upscale.
One thing that get's my goat is why does everything have upscaling, interlace to progressive conversion I only need one!
So far in a 4 hour test best option id Denon 2920 DVD doing standard DVD interlaced into projector, in a dark room with iris at 27.
Will report more when the blu ray player arrives.
