Anyone know why imported dvd's from asia only cost around £8.99 as opposed to 13-15 for us/uk versions???

if they're legit then you're being screwed over by the local distributors - one of the main reasons for region coding. Another example, I can buy BBC dvds from Oz and ship them back to the UK for less than they cost in the shops here. Go figure.

as well as my regions 1&2 Some of the region 3 ones can be had fopr as little as £3.99

I've been buying from cdwow for over 2 years now and it's saved me a small fortune. I buy more DVD's and CD's than i used to, so the industry is benefitting in the long term anyway.

We try and buy our DVDs from ebay, then those we don't want to keep we sell again. Typical example, Big Fish, region 2, in wrapper, £5 incl del. We would probably get £3-5 for it, but we're keeping it.
