anyone else noticed this..

a K&D album cover :

corresponding with this, errr Simon & Garfunkel offering from the dim and not so distant past :

All great fun of course. IIRC there was that Joe Jackson album [body & soul] anyone else care to post some of these?

I don't get it.

Rico's post inspired me to blow the dust of this one.

Firstly, it's been a long bloody time, 6 years to be exact! Secondly, it's as fresh as the day it came out the oven.

Top gear.

The Travis Invisible Band cover bears no similarity to Lennon's Plastic Ono Band.

Oh I see, you want us to dig for covers that look like other covers...

(Deleted my totally unrelated post...)

There is of course a couple of covers "inspired" by Beatles Abbey Road, like Booker T and the MGs (don't remember the name of the record just now). And New York City:s "Soulful Road".
Sorry, no pic's here, but I'm shure you can guess how they look!

Hi Rico

JJ Body and Soul was the homage cover to SR. BTY have you reasd JJ's autobiography. One of the best couldn't put it down and made me play some of the old stuff as well

I've noticed that Starsailor [the band] have adopted the typeface of Starsailor [the Tim Buckley album]

Didn't the Style Council release an LP with a photo similar to the K&D/Simon & Garfunkel shot? Somewhere in the mid 80s, called "Internationalists" in the US, and it was "Our Favourite Shop" in the UK, I think. Can't find a pic of the US version on the Web to confirm, so I could be wrong.

Another Billy fan! Mnnn 'Sounds like Bromley' or 'Beyond E Major' 'Suburbia'... everyone should own at least one if not them all.

Not to be missed live, if you get the chance

I've caught Jenkins live only twice, the first which converted me was at the Crawley Festival in '93 where the usual band was joined by the Fun Horns of Berlin - as recorded on 'East/West (now wear the same vest)'. Then last year the Suburbia tour included the Turner Sims @Southampton, where the hall's pipe organ was put to use!

I bought Billy's new CD last week, it's a raucous blues gospel noise fest with hilarious vocals. Thoroughly recommended.
