Back from the US vacation - thanks

I have just got back from a great vacation driving from San Francisco to Los Angeles along Highway One, thanks to all the forumites who gave advice on places to go and on the time to visit.

Yes, luckiliy, although there were some raging elsewhere and some blackened trees visible on the hills and alongside the highway.
