Lights Out

The illuminated switches on a couple of my old-style 135's have blown. I've had a look inside, and the switch is wrapped in all sorts of black plastic and neatly cable tied to stop the likes of me prodding around. Is there a simple way to get the bulbs out of these and replace them rather than cart them off to my dealer?
