Posted by: Gary S. on 03 October 2006

When I first registered on the groupee community thingy, Windows asked me if I wanted it to remember my user name and password - I clicked yes, but I had spelt the email address wrong and now I have to edit it evry time I log on - does anyone know it I can change this?

Thanks

It'll be in Internet Explorer Options, Tools, Content, Auto-Complete Forms, clear the checkbox out or delete history, something like that I would imagine.

There'll be some guru willing, able to assist more throughly along soon no doubt.

Beano

Thanks!! I've been editing that for the past nine months and was beginning to get a bit pi**ed off with it.

Really simple when you know how!

I think it is held as a cookie - delete you cookies as well.

If it is held in password manager type your correct username/password and say yes when it asks you to save it. You should then get the right option and the wrong option in a list. As far as I am aware actually editing the username/password requires regedit. Don't go there unless you know what youa re doing.

Another option use Mozzila instead if IE.

Thanks Steve, but I'm sorted mate - what Beano suggested did the trick. I knew it had to be something simple, I just didn't know where to look.
