The Emporium Hifi

Posted by: Freakbeat on 03 November 2005

I purchased an old quad set from Emporium Hifi in Suffolk through the web and made a payment promptly after the agreement of purchase last week. Since then I asked them tracking # for the shipment through emails, but no answer. I made phone calls for it but it seems that the person who picked up the phone doesn't know much about it. I left a message for the tracking # through email but STILL no answer.
Are they lazy or hell busy to send the package earlier???? I don't know folks but this is my first deal with that emporium place, but it is heck of an experience compared to the service at Flashback Sales. Any idea about this emporium shop Frown? His name is Nick.

if you paid via credit card get a refund and get the hifi from another dealer,i would not accept that level of service

Hi there, I know Nick and have purchased a couple of things from the Emporium. Nick is at best the most unorganised eccentric person I have ever met. His "workshop" is a real treasure cave and how he runs a business in such kaos is above me. That said he's a nice guy and knows his hi-fi. I would suggest keep ringing him, he will get back to you eventually.
From my experience he is geniuine and will eventually come back to you. Not quite like James at Tom Tom or Rob at adventures in hi-fi in terms of service but I don't belive he would "rip you off"

I bought a 42.5 from him a few years back and had no problems with the purchase. I agree that he's a genuine bloke who's not out to rip you off. Hope this puts your mind at rest, even if in your case he's not particularly prompt. Hope it arrives soon.

One hint - make sure you put 'no spam' in the email heading. When I have contacted them by email this is what they have advised
