I just purchased a Prefix S but would like to know if a K board would be better with a Miyabi/47 and or Dynavector XV-1. I have both carts now.

I have always found the K version to be better. Tha S versions, I believe, simply has an RC filter fitted to remove RFI. Unfortunately, it does impact on sound quality. Converting from S to K is quite simple and cheap....I had this done a few years ago.

I have compared S & K versions of the Stageline with my DV TeKaitora, and against all my prejudices the S walked it, even though I had to use BNC-to-Phono adapters on the S.
