Come on, who else phoned up then?
(It didn't say 'Sold' this morning, by the way)

I did. The 52 is sold.

I tried for the supercap - alas, sold at the weekend.
Second hand supercaps seem a rare commodity! I've missed about 4 "reasonably priced" ones lately and will probably buy new - knowing I have a very tradeable item if times get tough.

I found a s/h 52/supercap a couple of weeks ago, both less than 18/12 old. No point haggling as I knew it would go to somebody else in a flash; I accepted the price. It feels like an 'end of the line' purchase so the cost pans out over a lot of years-this was my reasoning anyway.
Keep searching. It IS worth the money.

I'd resigned myself to the fact that the 52 would have gone since I didn't know how old the ad was, but felt I had to give it a go or I would have lay awake at night thinking I'd missed out. Anyway, they'll be a two a penny in a few months time won't they
My hope of one day owning the top Naim pre-amp was dashed last weekend, I'm afraid

There was a Supercap on Loot a while back for £1000...dunno if its still avaiable..I think it may be overkill for a Nait 3R

The £1,000 SuperCap has gone (there's a surprise!). The seller told me it went within hours of the Loot ad being posted. Unfortunately, it remained on the website for the full 10 days.
Better luck next time. (Only I hope I beat you to it!).
