TomTom Go - driving me mad!
Posted by: Lee Brindley on 13 June 2006
Hi
Ive got an original TomTom Go.
When i want to find somewhere - lets say "Brighton" it then asks for a raod name.
What if i just wanted to go to the seaside - and not a road in particular....?
Having to choose a road often makes you choose one miles away from where you actually want to go!
Any way of just choosing the town?
Cheers

Isn't anywhere one of the options on the road search? I haven't got an original anymore buy I do remember that one problem and I think I got out of it by either cancelling out of the road search, picking anywhere or just picking a road at random.
I've upgraded to the 700 now for the hands free phone facility. It doesn't work very well but the search is much better than the original. If you were to change you would be as well getting one of the cheaper models

No you have to input a road - thats the problem - you cant just cancel out.
If you input a random one, often its nowhere near the actual town you want!

Isn't there a city centre option Lee. We bought a 510 a few weeks ago and think it's great. Reduces the stress somewhat, I don't know where the hell anything is in London.
