Pixies fans ? - New Vinyl re-issues box set

Dear all,

Any Pixies fans of you may be interested in this. A bit of a heads up, that all the Pixes back catalogue is soon to be re-released as a special edition box set, all the albums on vinyl and brand NEW art work by the long term photographer and art director team of the original albums...From what I am hearing, it's going to be a sumptuous box/product, so certainly something to collect if you are a fan.

A good friend of mine is the photographer and has been beavering away on this the past year, but the artwork seems to be nearing completion now so the embargo is lifted I'm told...!

I believe it is a US release initially, but I'm sure available internationally.

Great news, I'll look forward to it. I think all the individual albums were re-issued within the last few months-- I picked up re-issues of Bossanova and Surfer Rosa-- I wonder if the records in the box set will be different (different pressings, 45rpm, etc.)

I will say that Pixies albums, to my ears anyway, come alive on vinyl in a way they don't on CD. Very big difference-- much more than usual (I usually prefer music on vinyl, but in this case the music is absolutely transformed). (Dinosaur Jr is another band whose material sounds much much better on vinyl)
