George Harrison recommendations

I would like to try a bit of George Harrison as I don't know much of his work. There's a "Best Of" available. Is this OK or should I try a specific album?

I always come back to "All Things Must Pass". Others might have their own ideas but I think this is a work of genius.

There is some brilliant production in ATMP, but I would go with the comp. Harrison was never good for more than one or two songs per album( 'My Sweet Lord', 'Cracker Jack Palace' ect ). As always, in my opinion.

I'd vote for All Things Must Pass - it's a great album set - a Best Of is definitely worth owning, as is The Concert For Bangladesh.

While All Things Must Pass has much of George's strongest material I also like his album titled 33 1/3.

I also have his album Wonderwall Music from when he was still with the Beatles. It is more experimental and does not have regular songs like his solo LPs.

The songs on All Things Must Pass are wonderful, but the jams (and I'm normally a jam fan) are as dull as dishwater. Be warned.

Over the years I've probably played Wonderwall soundtrack more than any other Beatle-related album.
