Alison Krauss/Robert Plant 'Raising Sand'

This has been getting some good reviews in advance of release next week, and the clips I've heard sound good. Not the most obvious collaboration but perhaps it works!

Never bought anything by Plant. Got this on pre-release from a friend in distribution and it's magical. If I had to pick out one factor it would be the genuis production, as ever, of T-Bone Burnett. The voices ain't bad mind!!!

Played this through a couple of times yesterday, and then wanted to play it some more - it is that good! Very 'hairs on the back of the neck' in places and all highly enjoyable quality music.

Crystal voiced bluegrass/country singer. Multi award winning platinum albums etc. The albums with Union Station are exceptional IMHO, even if Country is not really your thang.

Delivered by the postie this morning - very nice indeed, not quite what I was expecting either. Alison Krauss has really taken the blues out of bluegrass

It's pleasant enough but I agree with those who find it a bit too 'yee-haa' for their taste

Shock! Horror!! An album conceived and produced by T Bone Burnett with Alison Krauss with a country flavour. Hello!!
