Who's the idiot who designed the plastic CD case?

Posted by: waspus on 19 May 2006

I've lost my rag again!! And I'm sure that there must me many who do the same.
The plastic CD case design is utter c**p, such as :
- Look at it the wrong way and it breaks
- Looking at the sleeve notes is a dexterity test an when you do extract them a magnifying glass comes in very useful.
- picking up more than a couple at a time ends up with the centre ones shooting across the room
- A CD is ~1mm thick - we have a design that is 9mm thick - really helpful for storing
- the centre locating crown either breaks or tries to tempt CD breakage
- stack more than a few on to of each other and any draft from a door or window will blow them over
How can someone design something so awful?
Does anybody know the culprit so I can redirect the venom of som Animal Rights Activists to his door 0r worse send him our cd case casualties??

Absolutely. LP covers were always within arms reach. Now you just have to get up and go searching for something, then you find the book you're using is too small and it all ends up in your lap. Roll Eyes
