Virgin HD & Qute/nDAC

Hi All
When connecting virgin media to qute or nDAC the sound is fine with standard def channels but a dreadful noise when switched to HD channels. Anyone have a solution?

How are you connecting and through what Virgin Media box?

The link suggests that the HD channels may transmit dolby 5.1 signals and not pcm stereo signals.
Is there some site you could check this?
If so you would have to setup your Virgin box to convert all output to 2-channel pcm and have the output send to your spdif and not to any hdmi.

The HD channels on Virgin are not 2.0 - if you are using that nDAC you need the V+ to output 2.0 PCM which you can do from the menu as i suggested in the link. I used my n-Vi to verify this was the case and when set correctly, whether SD or HD content the V+ box would output 2.0 PCM only.
