You may not believe this but I really like Ms Peyroux! I regularly play her stuff & I guess you saw her live performance on BBC4 a few weeks back?
..we can sometimes agree on certain female chanteurs'!

I saw her live about three years ago in a small, atmospheric jazz club in Sydney.

She had such an awkward stage prescence. It came across as if she wanted to run and hide from us all and she was somehow very fragile and timid.

All of this though, sort of added to the charm of the event and it was a very enjoyable concert.

It would be interesting to see how she would come across in a bigger venue.

I too watched the BBC programmes about her and bought a couple of her albums. The Sage is the ideal venue for her. I will report back to you all post gig (which should be more interesting than pre gig)

Jet, what are you doing listening to women with emotion, you'll be telling me next you have bought the dvd of Diana's funeral and gone into therapy :-0
