Ungreatful pillock

The chairman of Sheffield Wednesday earlier this week was reported as saying that as Crystal Palace FC was put into administration for the second time in ten year the club should be automaticly relagated as apposed to having a 10 point deduction. The ungreatful pillock forgot to mention that without our 10 point deduction his club would already be relagated. We have given them a chance to stay up.

We all know that proffessional football in England is bankrupt without the mega rich funding it so the chairman of Sheffield should be greatful to have the chance of survival we have given him.

Off to the pub as I can't watch that game sober. Hope the Shef Wed fans enjoy the game but may the better team win. Come on the EAGLES!

+1

I don't blame the Wed Chairman, despite that being a stupid thing to say. Fact is clubs should not go into administration and we have Tango Man to thank.

I wish I could find my correspondence to Mr Jordan a year or two into his reign. The replies to my observations at the way the club was heading were basically illiterate and condescending. I therefore chopped in my season ticket and have only been to the odd game since.

Oddly enough, even if they get relegated there is more chance of me going back if they find decent ownership.

It's going to be tense, they were awful on Monday.

Joe, Have a look at the administrators report. It makes very sorry reading. Everything the club ownes has been lease back financed so the assetts are minimal. If Jorden and his cronies walk away from this one clean then there is no justice. As always it is the fans that suffer along with the staff that risk loosing their jobs. Football it's a dirty business.

Don,

Given that it's pretty much what the owners of Man Utd have done....I see no prospect of justice. It's not illegal to make the lease back options and try to fund them with income, sadly. They were in charge and allowed to make decisions like that.

I sent a similar letter to a certain Peter Ridsdale when he was at Leeds United and borrowing money against future season ticket sales and banking on a place in the Champions League again. I suggested it was unwise to "count your chickens" and got the reply that if Leeds United didn't take strides forward they would be left behind. Well, we're certainly left behind now aren't we Mr Ridsdale. That man should not be allowed to set foot in another football club.
A few years later, after Ridsdale's departure to be fair to him I was kicked out of the seat I'd occupied for 20 years to make way for corporates. Haven't been back since but it still pains me to see us so low.
regards,
Steve.

Well stone me, something went right for Palace for a change. Commiserations to Wednesday, hope they make a swift return.
