HDTV / Blu ray / Naim

Not an expert audiophile here...
Have a Nait5, CD5 and two castle tower speakers (220V). I live in U.S. so I have this powered through a good voltage converter. Recently purchased a Sony 52" HDTV and Sony Bluray DVD (120V). I would like to hook HDTV/Bluray to speakers. How do I do this? Assume I will need an AV receiver. Any recommendations on type? Speakers are hooked up to Nait5. How do I connect to AV receiver?
I know, these are pobably stupid questions but as I said, I'm ignorant on this stuff. Any help would be much appreciated.

Not a stupid question at all. Send the video from the blu-ray to the TV via an hdmi cable (you may be able to dissable the audio stream). Then do a simple stereo output from the blu-ray into the Nait. This assumes of course that the blu-ray player has a stereo output...which model is it?

Sony blu-ray S350
It has following connections:
component video out (Y, Pb, Pr)
S-video
Line Out (audio L, R and video)
Digital out (coaxial and optical)
HDMI (which is connected to the TV)
It is possible to connect the HDTV (Sony also, Bravia V-series)) to the Nait5 with a DIN (5-pin) to RCA adaptor cable?

sure, thats possible, just use the L+R audio output with an RCA to DIN cord. The TV likely has outputs also.

Make your Naim converted to 110v, it is quite inexpensive and you will rediscover your kit.
Whatever the converter is, it is killing the Naim's ability to really sing.

I am presently living in the U.S. (South Carolina) and have not found anyone around here who is familiar with the Naim brand. Not many high end audio stores in the area. I talked to NaimUSA about converting to 100V a couple of years ago which is where I got the recommendation to use a good voltage converter. I don't remember if they quoted me a price to convert. Perhaps I will give them another call and maybe check out audiophile stores in Atlanta, GA as well.

Make it done by NaimUsa or someone they will recommend. Don't let Mr. repair-all-brands play in your Naims.

Engdad,
In addition to having the HDMI as video only you should configure the audio output of your disc player (settings menu) to 2ch too. This will optimise the sound to your 2 speakers.

Manu is spot on here....I moved my naim stuff to the US from the UK in 1997 and it was lifeless (musically through a step-up transformer) until I had the voltage changed to 110V.
Your nearest Naim dealer is Serious Hi-Fi in Raleigh, NC I think but contact NANA at
