Copy-protected vs. not copy-protected - any sound difference?

Has anyone tested the difference between a copy-protected CD and the same CD without copy-protection? Is there any sound difference? I see that many artists release one version with copy protection which is cheaper and usually one limited edt. with hybrid SACD + DVD without copy protection. Is there usually difference between the CD layers of these two versions sound quality wise?
