Has me howling with laughter because it is so reminiscent of family life. If you have kids and sometimes feel as though they have taken over the asylum watch this.
why parents probably drink too much!
On BBC1 tonight at 9.10pm.

It's the same here too. A really good programme.

Me too
We've got three boys, but tonight one of them is having a sleepover (joy!!!), so here I am trying to cook the second meal of the evening. Still, I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep...not

Well, I feared a "My Family" style humour-free zone, but I caught the second half of last night's episode and thought it was really good. The lessons of "The Office" successfully applied to a traditional family sitcom. I'll certainly tune in next week, so thanks for bringing this to my attention Diccus.

Last nights was pretty poor IMO compared to the rest of the series. Last weeks episode where the family tried to stop the kids watching TV on a Sunday was genius. Catch it on iplayer.
The kids apparently are only partially scripted and given fairly free reign to use their imagination.
Little Karen doing impersonations of Nigella Lawson and "beeping" Gordon Ramsey were hilarious.

Had not seen this before so I tuned in last night and thought that the little girl actress was just superb...

Got to agree with diccus62. I thought last night's was without doubt the weakest I've seen in either series.

I did - and very good it was too.
However, it's almost too realistic for a single bloke like me. There were times during the episode when I had the same feeling of being mithered I sometimes get when I visit friends with children!

There are many wonderful things about being a parent. Solitude is rarely one of them.

Had a 'Karen' moment with my daughter the other day. She asked me "Dad, how old was gran when she was young"!
