I think it's going to be great this year.....
Don't know why, just a feeling I get!

2-1

3-1. C'mon Murray!

3-2
Posted on: 30 June 2008 by Chillkram
4-2, a game to love. He just needs to hold his service now and he wins the match!
Posted on: 30 June 2008 by Chillkram
4-3. A long game that one and Murray had 3 opportunities to go 5-2 up.
Posted on: 30 June 2008 by Chillkram
Yes!! 5-3. One service game to hold.

UNREAL! Gasquet fighting back now. 4-5

Well done, Murray. What a fantastic game; a real pleasure.
Gasquet is better looking though...

Wow! What a match! As a certified non-fan of Murray I take my notional hat off to the lad.

murray mint too good to hurry mint - great game but i cant see him beating nadal next.

A brilliant comeback. Murray was down and out when he was 2 sets down and Gasquet was serving for the match at 5-4 in the third.
The boy has cojones!

(Whispers) We're scared to speak on it up here in case we hex him...

Fantastic - one of the best games of tennis I've seen in a long, long while - hope he recovers in time to beat Nadal.

My wife sat down to watch the match during the 3rd set with the immortal words "I won't be long." An hour and half later, with no finger nails left, we had witnessed one of the great come-backs ever.
To win from from facing a match point winning serve is the mark of real toughness.
I don't know if Nadal can last 4 hours but I would bet Murray could do so again. With 15,00 fans at his back he can mentally control the game.

Well done Murray, now if he can do the same to Nadal, he will then be a very serious proposition to other tennis players and a serious chance of hope in the finals...!

He took Nadal to 5 sets in Australia so with a home crowd behind him h ehas a shot. Nadal is not unbeatable as Tsonga proved in Melbourne....incredibly tough though!

I think Nadal is a different proposition altogether, especially this year. I think this will be the year Nadal wins Wimbledon and overtakes Federer as world no1.
Murray's final was yesterday.

Nadal was in a different league to Murray. Murray looked tired and out of his depth. He will come back fighting next year though, I am sure. The scary thing about Nadal though, is that he is only a year older than Murray and has already won 4 Slams.

I thought Nadal was lucky.
Take away his serve, ground shots and all those immaculate passing shots and his faultless overheads and the occasional well executed drop shot and what he got that's so special?

Might be this

I see - he owns a lilo.

I knew I shouldn't even have whispered on this thread. Nadal played a blinder and Murray had a bit of a 'mare.
On today's form a Federer-Nadal final is a mouth-watering prospect.
Ian
PS where do I get an inflatable lilo like that ?

All set up nicely for Federer v Nadal as they both blew away their opponents today with almost identical scores.
I still maintain that this will be Nadal's first Wimbledon title, though.

Which sister do you think will win, Mark?
