Amarra 1.2 - it works, very well

Installed this on my MacbookPro and I really like what it does. The soundstage has opened up and the sound is much fuller compared with itunes alone.

I wasn't expecting much difference as I am still using the toslink rather than Hiface. I was wrong...

Anyone else using it?

I had been using it and at the moment prefer Pure Music (1.45) - Amarra 2.0 came out last night so i'll upgrade mine today and give it a listen.

Did you listen to amarra 2.0 ?

I bought a 2TB bufallo linkstation pro yesterday for audio. 2TB is overkill but it was going for a good price online. I will use this for audio as I understand that it is recommended to use a NAS rather than my macbookpro disc.

I did some blind tests last night, I preferred amarra to itunes, amarra was preferred on every occasion. I noticed that there is less noise around vocals with amarra. I am pleased with it so far anyway. I am yet to buy a hiface (next week), perhaps this will take things further too.

I was also going to ask you, James, whether you had any experience with amarras EQ ?
