RESON ACIORE ANYONE?

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and still finding my way around.

Has anyone heard one of these? I've got a Xerxes, rewired rega and recently swapped a Sumiko BPS for one of these. I admit the BPS can sound a little rough around the edges but sheesh! the Aciore is sooooo boring.

Granted, it probably has a little better bass and the Missus reckons the soundstage is a little better. But it most certainly does not rock like the BPS.

Anyone experienced this before.

Sick of the sound I arranged a home visit from the shop that supplied the cartridge to me.

They re-did the cartridge set up and tinkered with the positioning of my speakers.

What a difference.

I guess that just shows you the importance of a home dem. Also, no matter how good/bad something sounds in a shop its no guarantee of how it'll sound in your own listening room.
