Thom Yorke solo al***

Posted by: Bruce Woodhouse on 21 June 2006

Heard a track from a Thom Yorke solo album on BBC6 yesterday-blew me away. I'd not heard he was making a solo effort. Very much in the style of the more electronic elements of Kid A and Amnesiac. His voice was magnificent-far less overwrought than recent Radiohead.

The new album is called 'Eraser' and Amazon list it as released 10th July. Radiohead lost me with 'Hail To The Thief' which I thought was dull but this sounds excellent.

Anyone heard any more tracks yet?

I have heard about it, and that Radiohead have been paused for a period. I think it might be a great album and I shall buy it on the strength of what I have read, as he is capable of some seriously excellent music. I suspect that Hail To The Thief was dull intentionally. He stated way back that Radiohead was boring him.

I think you will find that there is a Radiohead release due for this year too. So he couldn't have been that bored Winker

Look forward to both then!
But, how come there are reviews on Amazon when it isnt released yet?

I thought 'Hail..' wasnt too bad, although not up to the usual standard.
