HDX; problem with reading large files

(On the ReadyNAS the ReadyNASs built in UPnP server can cause chaos as it grabs and locks files whilst it itself is scanning...)

I too have problems with file sizes above 1 GB. The scan process of the HDX just doesn't pick the file up and you can't play the music. With a version of Mahlers 6th there are several movements - it registers and plays the smaller files but not the larger ones. There is clearly a relationship between file size and the ability of the HDX to register and play it. A solution would be welcome.
There are lots of possible factors that could be contributing to this - we don't have any inherent issues with the HDX (or any of the servers) reading large files that we are aware of (the servers don't read the file whole of course) ... what can cause issues (and has been found to cause issues when we have looked at systems) is the UPnP servers on many NASs accessing files at the same time as our servers are trying to and locking out the servers.
Without looking at the issue in detail it's not appropriate to simply say a blanket statement that "it's an issue on the HDX with files over 1Gb"
If you would care to contact me or Steve Hopkins directly using the contact details that are in stickies at the top of all of the forums then we can attempt to resolve your problem.
Cheers
Phil
I'd love to contact you and get to the bottom of a couple of niggling issues but for for the life of me I can't find your contact details or these so called stickies?
