Post pictures of otherwise great hifi equipment that you simply could never own due to their overwhelmingly obnoxious aesthetic.....(IYHO)

Now since you've mentioned a Unison Research amp, thir SR1 was pretty odd looking to say the least.
Performance wise, it was better than my Primare 30.1A.

Looks like the set from an ELO concert.
There's more than enough TT models and horn speaker designs to fill this thread also.

looks somewhat like the dogs breakfast, although I would not that let me stop me if I had the cash.
I like the tube amps above, whats wrong with you people
. Naim boxes are fine but there are plenty of other looks that I can appreciate. Not a fan of the Cyrus look however.

Not if you'd heard them at the naim/kef event in san francisco last summer that we attended
Then you wouldnt listen to them at all, dark or not.

Not sure I could pay £8k for one of these babies either, even if it does sound friggin good...

Yes indeed - unfortunately every time I have heard it the system sounded bloody awful. I think Chord must genuinely be deaf so poor is their performance.

The theme I am seeing is that the curvier the component, the less we like it. I tend to agree. The same goes for cars with me. The more squared off the look, the more I like it. You can go too far with this aesthetic, but the curves on many cars and many speakers just come off as bad decorating projects. Now if you want a study in industrial design, look at the original Planet--it doesn't get much better than that.
