Henley Royal Regatta

As a matter of interest, anyone going to the doyen of Rowing?
(As it happens - for the first time since '92 - it seems unlikely that I can go this year, but since it's in my consciousness at the moment, being the second half of this week, thought I'd ask...)

Even though no replies, I am delighted that 33 people have read the post!
There seem to be a Naim and real ale sub-group, Naim and football sub-group, Naim and cycling sub-group, but I think I must be the only one in the Naim and rowing sub-group!
I am also delighted that, in fact, I have unexpectedly managed to get the desk clear for opening day tomorrow, so Cinders will in fact go to the ball!
Then the Signals open day on Saturday and home in time for kick-off - so it won't turn out to be a totally working week off afterall. Yippee!

James,
Not done Henley, but I did live in Marlow (down the road) for about five years. During that time I only had the misfortune to actually be in town during once during regatta week. As far as I could tell, it was like the Big Market in Newcastle, but with Pimm's and a younger age profile.
Regards

James,
A marvellous day out at a wonderful sporting event. I will not be there either this year but have happy memories of walking up the river bank to the stake boats. And even foggier memories of pints of Pimms in the Stewards Enclosure.
