Lizzy without Philo?
can't imagine anyone who saw them live going, but I suppose the songs are great and you have 2 mean guitarists there.
should not be called Lizzy though
At least Manzarexk and Krieger had the decency to call themselves Riders on the Storm,

Scott Gorham is the only long-time original, John Sykes will be on vocals/ guitar and two other relative noobies (and maybe the occasional guest appearance by Darren Wharton - would like to see Brian Robertson though!).
I know they are not and never will be THE Thin Lizzy without Phil Lynott but they are good, the music brings back some good times / memories (I was lucky to see them live 4 times Sloop)and they do dedicate the shows to Phil - his memory lives on.

Indeed the music live would bring back some great memories then. We are a little bit protective of Phil and Lizzy over here, but I suppose Scott played enough of those rifs over the years to give him the right to play with the same name and not as a tribute band.
Enjoy the gig if you go, and remember affectionately the black Irish paddy bastard.

For those that had the privilege of seeing him Sloop, who could ever forget him!
The last 2 gigs are in Dublin - the tour is named the 20/20 Tour - twenty gigs for 20 years - I have my tickets for the Norwich UEA gig and can't wait. Even tried to get my brother to come along - as a 12 year old (I was 15 and it was 1979) they were the first live band he ever saw - don't know what went wrong as he went on (and has just started up again!) to be the lead singer (?) for Extreme Noise Terror!

I had the pleasure of seeing them live back in the early eighties and they were awesome, but without Phil up front they can never be the same.
There is a live DVD of the Thunder and lightening tour and that is one of the best twenty quids you will ever spend.
