Just wondering, now that I have a couple sources, I need to switch from output mode depending on source. What are your experiences with auto? Do you find that it does not always pick the "right" one?

Auto works well (assumming you refer to the AV2). Except (not the AV2`s fault) when you have a 2 channel only Dolby Digital signal. The Av2 does what it is supposed to: switches to dolby digital, but as there's only 2 channel, it plays in stereo. I prefer to manualy switch to PLII or NEO6. This 2 channel DD happens quite often with digital TV.
