Connecting up a Yamaha DSP-E800 Processor

Posted by: Scott Mckenzie on 20 October 2002

Howdi folks...I haven't been around in ages as I have been jobless and therefore had no money to spend frown

I am however back, and due to an expanding DVD collection, I finally decided to bite the bullet and buy an E800 and matching centre/surround speakers....

However, I am now a little stuck. I obviously need to connect the E800 to my Nait 3R, now I was under the impression that I should use the AUX input of the Nait, connected to the MAIN OUT of the Yamaha. However, am I right in thinking that the AUX input on the Nait is actually the eek two phone sockets?? If so, the Chord DIN -> Phono lead is not needed....anyone confirm/deny this for me??? Or at least tell me where on earth I am going wrong...

Cheers

yes Scotty the aux input r the 2 phono(rca) contacts. However the nait 3r sounds better on the din inputs so y not use one of them?

Will I be OK to just use one of the DIN inputs from the NAIM and connect it that way, as technically (as far as I understand) I am only using the NAIT as a power amp when watching films???
