400mile Drive, Ultimate Test of Apple Lossless!

Posted by: djftw on 20 May 2008

About to set off from York to Aberdeen, to sit (hopefully) my last exam for a good few years and empty my flat up there. It should take about 8 hours with a short break or two. Will I survive with 60GB of Apple Lossless files on a somewhat aged iPod, playing through the dock on the Bose system in an Audi A3? Discuss!

Depends if your entire collection of S-Club-7 will last the ride Big Grin Razz

As you will obviously be listening to revision recordings of lectures, it should be no problem.

I would worry more about the Audi rather than the music!

If it's not too late download The Word podcasts to keep to company.

I quite like it, you really appreciate getting 600 miles from a tank when fuel is so pricey!

Indeed! Save the turbocharged 99 octane burner for the tracks and quiet country roads on weekends! As my best friend discovered driving things that can reach 140mph from 70 in a very short space of time can lead to getting carried away on motorways and getting a driving ban! I prefer the Audi for motorway driving, much more relaxing, quite happy in 5th from 45 to 120mph (only when in Germany obviously!) surprisingly good acceleration at those sorts of speeds (better than a lot of petrols I've driven) and around 60mpg between 70-90mph (see previous parenthesis)!

Maybe they'll bring them over when your gas prices reach $9 a gallon!
