Pay for a "BURNDY.....stupid
Posted by: JYNO 50 on 29 October 2009
If i want buy a SNAXO or/and a SUPERCAP, the BURNDY cable is not included with the SNAXO or SUPERCAP. I find that it's stupid and it's only a trick to make more $$$$$$
What do you think about that?

I think it's lame. The factory should provide you with an excess of cables so that you can strangle yourself silly with the extras.
All in my unbridled, honest opinion of course.

I'll give you the honest answer. Naim supplies every cable when it's an obvious choice as they do with HC, FC, CDPs etc. and a 252 comes with the required Burndy to be used with a SC because that's the only correct cable that can be used. Both the SC and Naxo can be run with either a Burndy or Snaic depending on associated connection. A SC with 282 or Naxo with Hicap for instance. No cable would always be the correct one. Others would just complain that they're paying for something they don't need and that it's Naim's way of flogging more cables. The way they do it makes sure that you don't pay for things you don't need. Quite the opposite of your inflammatory suggestion. I find it rather odd that the one company that does the absolute maximium to give a complete configuration of quality standard cables would be critisized for milking the public when others don't give anything or anything generally worthwhile. Stupid is not looking before a leap.quote:Originally posted by JYNO 50:

Boffff! Perhaps they want my system in their living room: lol!!! but I am in competion with nobody. I am happy about that I succeded with the years: today I have 60 years old. Until 1974, I bought, buy and will buy always in the same store with exchange for my products. It's my passion and the goal will attempt soon. ...I hope!!! That's all. I hope that I wil be happy with my new CD552/PS. Today, i say that my Naim CD555/555PS is the best CD that I have listened. The sound in near of Linn LP12.
I know that the Naim's purists hate me because I have Magneplanar 20.1 speakers and four (4) mono blocks Theta Enterprise but, the sound is very good with the 20.1 and i like the sound very much with $$$ that I can use for this purpose! . It's possible that I exhange 2 Power Line with my dealer against the BURNDY cable for a future SUPERCAP for the power supply for my SNAXO...Actually, I have a Hi-Cap only. It's the weakness part of my system.

Jean Yves,
You know we are very open to look at individual situation. Talking to your dealer and/or me is a much better way to get a result...
Understand it is much easier to remove a HiLine and/or a PowerLine from a 552's boxes and give you a rebate than adding them for free

I think that you have a good idea because yesterday, I offered at my dealer my two(2) Naim Power Line Cables against for a Burndy cable. Why keep at home two(2) useless cables at home for nothing!!! It's possible that my offer wil be accepted. I hope so!. In this case, I will change my Hi-Cap for a Supercap 2: PS for my SNAXO...

Powerlines are going for circa GBP300 on a well known auction site. Sell them there and buy a brand new burndy and then you can buy lots of music with the change.
