Your very own HiFi haven.

Dear all.

Iv'e just been wandering thru' the Vinyl Engine gallery looking at all kinds of wierd and wonderfull turntables and arms and it has spurned me to ask this question.

You have a HiFi room all to yourself, what would you have in it?

Ignore all thoughts about sound quality and even the music. This is pure geekery, material possetion, call it what you will
Cost is no object, nor is space or practicality. It can be something you've owned in the past or something you've had on your wish list for as long as you can remember.
This list is very much like the " 6 best songs " thread in the Music Room in asmuch as it could change daily, but dont worry, just jot down whatever comes into your head first.

My list, (for today)

Things iv'e owned in the past;

...My beloved Yamaha NS1000m's
...My original Phillips CD 100. The very first ones that came with the presentation folder for the intruction manual etc.
...My Nait 2

Things I own at the present;

...My LP12. I have waited 12 years for one, so i'm not letting go now.

The rest;

...72/HiCap/250. The classic Naim amplifier combination.
...A Japanese superdeck. Any would do but probably a Marantz TT 1000
...A pair of Sonus Fabers cos' there sooooo pretty.
...A Stenfoort line level integrated amp. Anything that could make a pair of Infinity Kappa 6's sound interesting must be special.
...A wooden rack, rather like a pipe rack, with a dozen or so Naim Aro arm's, all with different cartriges fitted, at least one being a Koetsu.
...The largest pair of Duntech speakers they make.
...The largest pair of Krell monoblocks they make to drive the above.
...A Garrard 401.
...A technics 1200.
...A Radiogram, the largest and most tastless possible.
...A Dansette.
...A Nagra tape deck
...A one and a half width Target rack.
...A jukebox.
...A Ekornes reciner and stool and a minibar.

Presumably the bars across the speaker cones are to keep them in place when you turn the wick up. Do you also have to wear a safety belt?

The bars are to make them look manly, a bit like Vaxhuall Nova Alloy Wheels.

I remeber thinking this was a pretty "good" setup. Of course I would need to add:
-- Dcs Verdi, Purcell & Elgar for CD / SACD / DVD-A replay - 40,000US$
Whe I was'nt watching films.

There are a lot of items on the list with no price. Apparently when it was all put together it came out at about 1,000,000 US$

Naim CDS 3, Rockport turntable, Atma Sphere Music Preamplifier MP-1 Mk. II, Atma Sphere MA-3 Reference Power Amplifier (not yet introduced), Sound Lab U-1 speakers, all Magnan cables + some Nagra stuff for any case.
All system in a different room than speakers.
I personaly believe that this should be the best system in the world.
