Is Terry Henry The Coolest Man in the World?

Not only is he, whatever the idiots at FIFA say, the best footballer in the world he is now in the coolest advert ever.
Excellent work by Animal on the drums as well.

PS Crap cars though.

Richard S -- Crewe have one of the best named fanzines as in SuperDarioLand.
Greeny -- Man Utd's "golden generation" appears to have been a one off. But this is not meant to knock them at all. The nature of youth policies for big clubs is that even with the best resources and first pick from the best kids big clubs probably only produce one player every two years or so who actually makes it into your first team. They do produce lots of other good players of course but they tend to be not quite good enough and go and play at other clubs (Savage, Chadwick, that gambling chap at Newcastle, etc.)
And whatever Man Utd's youth policy knowing Ludwig's views and interests in sports reasonably well he is not a natural Manchester Utd supporter.

I know I'm not a ManU fan. A roommate in college was a ManU fan (born in England) and was obnoxious as f*ck about it.

<cheers Ludwig for renouncing ManU-ness>
What a thoroughly decent human being.

We're in danger of the greatest ever player thread here...

How about greatest players you ever saw who aren't playing now...
Three for starters:
George Best
Charlie George
Denis Law
Jimmy Johnstone
Jim Baxter
Willie Henderson
Brian Laudrup

I'm with you on Slim Jim. Add him to the four I mentioned in my top three.

How sad to be so transparent! So much for being a deep, complex person.
Don't forget though that Baxter and Henderson played in World or European selects (can't remember which). How many Scottish players would be picked now?

"How many Scottish players would be picked now?"
Well Christian Dailly has just been elected to the Scottish Hall of Fame if that helps.
One can imagine reading the list: Baxter, Law, Dalglish, Dailly...
