Does anyone know about this sub? It's supposedly made by REL. Is it a standard REL sub rebadges for Rega?

The Rega Vulcan is designed by REL, not made by them. It is a downward firing sub. Like REL it is very musical. I owned one for awhile, quite nice indeed.

I have one of these beasts. It works fine for me, I use it with Rega ELAs and a Centa.
I haven't heard any other subs so I can't compare.
I use as a sub with an AV and tried it on the ELAs to augment base. It works fine in both setups though the former is easier to setup and control.

How does the Centa perform? I hate the looks of it, but... (I use Elas as fronts and Kytes as rears, and a Paradigm CC170 centre - it's a nice slightly muffled speaker, since most centres are fiercely overbright to me).
