OriginLive - RB900 Modifications

Does anyone have any experience with the modifications available? I purchased a Prefix for my P9 which has the ARO connector. I have also ordered the corresponding ARO connector to connect to the tonearm wires. This way I can easily change the prefix when I buy a different cartridge. The shop I am buying from suggested doing the internal rewire on the arm at the same time. Has anyone done this? What are the sonic benefits? Is it an improvement or just different? Is a move from the flat-earth presentation to a more round earth? If the modifications are as good as they claim why doesn't Rega use this wiring, etc.
