Overpriced second hand CDs
Posted by: Guido Fawkes on 09 December 2005
I get quite a few CDs from Amazon, but I get rather anoyed when I see something like
Shirley Collins - Within Sound advertised for £80.
It is still available new from
Fledg'ling for £38.50. Fledh'ling is the independent label that supports Shirley and similar acts.
I don't like to see people ripped off - I'm sure there are plenty of other examples.
BTW Within Sound is a superb Box Set of my favourite singer.

Fiuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
120 euros for a 4 cds set!
Must be very rare!
Anyway...................prices are high in Italy as well, but i've found a place,www.dotshop.se, where they sell cds at 13,49 (about 9 pounds) and delivery is fast as a blink of an eye.
They don't have "everything" but........................

Hi Gianluigi
That's my point Within Sound is not very rare - I think the sellers are relying on people not knowing how easy it is to get hold of this record through the record company: Fledg'ling. I just wanted to warn others not to be conned by these unscrupulous money grabbers. I've had Within Sound from the day it was released so escaped the extortionate price.
I'll check out the shop in Sweden thanks for the tip.
Best regards, Rotf

Hi Rotf!
I do spend a lot of time in front of my laptop listening to music, of course.
There are a lot of chaces to get music at human prices.
It's worth to try surfing a couple of hours and get the best price, basically because at the price of "one" you can get "two"!
More music, more fun!
