Do you wish to Debug?

Do you wish to Debug?

Incresingly I find when using the Internet (Dell Dimension XPS D266; Windows 95; IE 5.5 all about 9 years old although IE must be slightly younger) that I get po-ups with "error" messages.

For example, logging on to the Naim Forum; when changing between Hi-fi Corner and Padded Cell; and when changing from one thread to another, I get the following sequence of messages

All start with the words

A routine error has occurred
Do you wish to Debug

Then the various errors are

Line:3
Error: Class doesn't support Automation

or

Line: 1318
Error: Expected "j"

or Line: 1392
Error: 'Event' is undefined

or

Line: 1384
Error: Object doesn't support this property or method

If I press "NO" the pop-up disappears and the logging-on process continues
If I press "YES" I get a "Debugging" screen with loads of computer code with the cursor flashing in the offending spot (I presume)
But there is no help as to what to do!!!!!!

Similar pop-ups apprear on other web-sites but the Error messages differ.

Any advice?

Cheers

Go to - Internet Options - Advanced - Disable Debugging (Internet Explorer).

And/or - untick "Show a stupid message for absolutely every error that is not going to do you any good any way"

Go to - www.opera.com - download a fast/secure/uesr friendly browser.

Yes - you can retain Explorer, you just won't want to use it. Firefox is another good browser.

Many thanks Adam,

I can feel that sense of relief already at no longer clicking "No" every two seconds....

Free again....
