World Cup 2010

England vs US and Brazil vs Portugal should be fun. Not an easy group for Germany.

My life has been cursed by England winning it in 1966. It has meant that I have to watch England though I very seldom enjoy it, being in Berlin to watch [on telly in a hotel] the 5-1 being one of the exceptions. I was first traumatised in 1970. England being there detracted from the pleasure of that wonderful Brazil team. I always enjoy the footie more when we aren't there. The last Euro was great. Only winning the whole thing will make up for the pain of England being there.

As the Naim-forum is an international forum, this thread may be not completely wrong .

The Bundesliga is probably not very interesting for residents of the U.K., the other way around the Premier League is not so exciting in Germany.

The other thread is about all things football; this one was intended to be about the World Cup, in isolation.
