Hi. The new NAPSC2 retails in the US for $425. Not sure what a used one goes for or the appropriate conversion rate. Naim seems to feel the NAPSC2 represents a noticeable improvement over the old NAPSC, but I've never done the comparison. I added a NAPSC2 to my 202 and am pleased with the purchase. It represents a nice, cost-effective upgrade, but don't expect to find the results earth-shattering or jaw-dropping. It is not like adding a Hi-Cap. However, given the relatively low cost, I find it to be a worthwhile addition to my system. Please note that, like all Naim gear, it requires some run-in. Although the run-in may take many weeks, I found a noticeable improvement after a week or so.

I started off with a 102 and on the basis of advice from this forum added a HiCap first. This was a massive upgrade - added more than a bit of everything to the overall presentation. Late olive cased HiCaps can be picked up second hand for £400-£500 I guess.
I subsequently added a NAPSC - the improvement this made was modest in comparison to the HiCap. NAPSCs can be picked up second hand for £60/70 upwards.
On the basis of my experience I strongly recommend the HiCap first.
Try hififorsale.com or ebay.

A new NAPSC2 is £225 - I purchased one to replace my mint NAPSC1 which I sold for £100. Others have reported worthwhile improvements when adding a NAPSC to a 102, in my case (with an 82) when I did the comparison in my system the NAPSC2 was clearly better. (System CDX/82/2xHi/160/ibl all up to latest spec)
Hope this info is of use.
