Out of curiosity, does anyone have first-hand carnal knowledge of this speaker??
Many have said they would be auditioning said speaker-- how bout some results?

I use NEATs myself. But I am thinking about having a standmount as a second speaker. With what system did you hear them?
Also, what NEATs do you own and how do you think they compare to the RR3's?

Really-- you prefer the mids of the Elites? Hmmm. This is just what I have heard was so wonderful about the Royds-- the mids. Have you heard the Petite 3?
If so, I am curious as to how you compare the Petite 3 mid to the Elite mid. Some of us on the forum have not liked the mids/bass qualities of the Petite and I wonder how the Elite fares in the mids by comparison?
Also, with what system and in what context did you hear the RR3's?

I have RR3:s, they are realy excellent. Silos description is spot on, I think. Well, I don't know about the run-in part, I got mine second hand.
Aditionally, I would describe them as one of very few speakers where the musical notes both start AND stop correctly, and in time with each other.

What have you compared them to Johan?

It was a friends friend who had bought RR3:s and wanted to know how they sounded with Naim electronics. He came home to me and it was clear from the first second that they where something special.
At that time I used my old LS3/5A:s and Naim Intro II:s when I wanted it a bit louder!
Other speakers I'm very familiar with through the years are Linn Sara, Naim SBL and some big, round earth american ones called Von Schweikert. The only ones that can compete with the RR3:s are SBL:s, but only in the bass! RR3:s are much better at everything else.
