it always amazes me how so many can be so interested in a load of prize wankers kicking a ball around.

It always amazes me when people slag off something that is popular and fascinating to other people.

Do you think there is any point in booing every time Terry has the ball tonight?

Not if you're watching at home.

After his recent performances I'll be cringeing with fingers crossed.

Mrs H is of the opinion that Terry makes Rooney look like Clooney.

ANY DECENT England fan should NOT boo ANY player that wears the England shirt no matter what.

YES as its detrimental to the whole team - IMHO

IF we want to win the WC then we must get behind the team and as far as i know Terry will be part of it.

That's what the Egyptian attack did in the first half got behind our rather pedestrian defence - I think you're right and Terry will be there, but we won't win the world cup with a slow ponderous clogger at the back. In the second half, the Egyptian sub walked passed him.

But on positive note I think Capello learned who his best centre forward was - and I think he knows James Milner is a top man for midfield. Rob Green played well enough in goal too. Baines was quietly effective too.

I'd like to see some more agile defenders - Phil Jagielka if fit would be my choice, but I realise that there isn't much time to try out new players at the back. Would like to have seen Ryan Shawcross, but I guess the unfortunate incident with Ramsay may have made it difficult.

Shouldn't England be concluding that there's no place for the old & slow, which would surely rule out the Davids Beckham and James, and Geezer/Adulterer Terry?

Cashley Cole and Rio Ferdinand are crocked, and have no realistic chances of being fit (remember that England have taken, and played, players in the last two World Cups who were shown to be woefully unfit and short of form).

The perennially unfit Owen Hargreaves, probably England's best player on the World stage last time out, won't make it either.

Michael Owen's crocked again, and doesn't play regular football, so he could be left at home to count his massive bank balance for doing next to nothing over the last few years, plus he could feed his racehorses.

Do you suppose that Capello really thinks that Peter Crouch, despite his two goals, is worthy of the Finals? And Theo Walcott has gone backwards, since his non-show four years ago. As for Shaun Wrong-Phillips, ...

So, if even half of this were to be taken into account, England might pick a squad that stands a chance of getting beyond the quarters. But I shan't hold my breath!
