Does anyone know the trick to setting up a router so the Uniti can log-in to it? Help!I had a 4 year old Linksys, no luck, dealer told me Netgear was good, so I got a new N band model... no luck with either.
The uniti can see them, just cant log-in to the router. I also wonder since I use an air card weather I need a router at all, or just a wireless adapter (or even setting up an ad hoc connection with my built in card?)
I'm anxious to move on to new problems of streaming music cutting out

Right your re talking about a couple of things here.
Firstly is your netgear router a wireless one? if it is it will clearly so on the box.
If it is refer to the instructions in the uniti manual for connecting to a wireless network.
If however you have an ethernet cable connected to the uniti which in turn lands back at the router then you do not need wireless (ethernet is better)
This needs to be hooked into on of the four holes on the netgear. And restarted if on upnp or iradio it says no network then refer to the instructions again, perhaps for some reason your uniti has a FIXED ip or has the settings from the lynskys still stuck in it. (A hard reset will fix it then)
IN reaity your dealer should be sorting you out with this stuff. If the device is second hand then its almost certainly got a fixed IP, and needs a reset.

First things first, the Uniti does not log in to the router as such (that is an administrative thing you do usually via a web browser to initially set the router up).
When setting up the router you need to enable wireless connectivity (sometimes disabled by default) and set a user name and password for wireless access (otherwise every tom, dick and harry within wireless range will have free access to your network).
Lastly, the router merely enables an access point for a wireless client (uniti) to gain access to devices or shared resources on your network. In the case of the Uniti you want it to have access to a UpNP server...i.e. UpNp server software running on a NAS or computer. Heaps of info on the forum about UpNP software and setup, etc.
Hope that helps.
