Which artists are you seeing in 2010?

Seems the bookings are now flowing into 2010, so a new thread.
I've just booked tickets for Chris Rea , Brighton Centre in March. Better seats than last time , I think.

Copper Family, a charity gig at Telscome Village church hall. This Saturday.
Anyone who has not heard of the Copper family they are an old Sussex family who have collected and sung traditional, local folk songs. Shirley Collins and June Tabor amongst others, have covered some of their stuff.

Diccus,
I saw Beth at the Moseley Folk Festival in September (Stornaway may have played as well, I don't remember seeing them over the 3 days but the name seems familiar). She only played a short set which was more memorable for her giggling through half of the songs. There were signs though that she could have put on a good show, so I hope you enjoy it. Please let us know how it was.
I had a very pleasant chat with her after the gig and she was quite charming, if a little mad. And yes, the hair is real - I've run my fingers through it, lol!

Jeff Beck back on home ground, at the Brighton Centre in October. A long time to wait but, if his gig in Brighton last year is anything to go by, it should be worth the wait. Anybody know if it will be the same band? He will have a new album out by then so looking forward to some new material.

Hi
I will try to be there as well.
Saw him yesterday at London O2 and was suprised at the new lineup as I was looking forward to Vinnie and Tal.
It seems that Narada Micheal Walden ,(Ex Mahavishnu Orchestra)is Beck's new drummer, and Rhonda Smith,(Ex Prince and the New Generation) is the bassist.
They were both really good.Walden powerful and explosive and Smith strutting and funky.Different to the previous players but good in their own right .
One early number was very reminiscent of Mahavishnu and I want more.It will be interesting to see if he has more suprises on the new album "Motion and Commotion" released in april.
Regards
Colin Macey

Jeff Beck at the Manchester Apollo in October, ages away yet.
In a couple of weeks I'm off to see It Bites supported by Aynsley Lister at Manchester Acadamy. Not bothered about It Bites but Aynsley Lister is simply brilliant. His show last year with Buddy Whittingham was the highlight of 2009 for me.

Thomas Dolby - Sun 28 Feb @ Union Chapel
Anyone with tickets for Union Chapel on Sunday will see the time stated on the ticket as 7:00pm. The website has been updated since the tickets were sent out.
Please be aware that doors will open at 6:30 pm for a 7:15 start so adjust your plans if necessary. If you want to get yourself a shirt and the coverted entry wristband to the meet-the-band party, you will need to be there early enough to get in line and be one of the first through the door.
The party will take place in the upstairs bar of Union Chapel after the gig from 10:30 until 12:30. Entrance to the party is strictly by wristband only.
2 shirts maximum per customer. Each shirt purchased gets 1 wristband - while stocks last.
This is my first TD band gig. I saw him once before on keyboards for David Bowie @ Earls Court. The intro to "Station to Station" transported you to 'St Pancras'

I just purchased tickets for Mary Chapin Carpenter on June 24th for a show here in Albany. I look forward to the show. It will be my first time seeing her perform in person.

I was lucky enough to attend the NME awards on Weds. A great Gig. Highlights were Hole, Specials & Weller. Worth a watch on C4 tonight!
Need to try again to get Glasto tickets if more are released. I was too unorganised last year and missed out. Can't rely on blagging any freebies for this one!!
