Which artists are you seeing in 2010?

Seems the bookings are now flowing into 2010, so a new thread.
I've just booked tickets for Chris Rea , Brighton Centre in March. Better seats than last time , I think.

Well, if you ever get another chance. Don't miss it. The gig was in a small converted church hall with about 200-300 people. Wonderful ambience, and in spite of a couple of minor "technicals" a wonderful experience. She puts so much into the performance. Her enjoyment of what it is she does is obvious, and this just flows over into the audience.
One of the things I love about her music is the interesting rhythms and her exquisite phrasing. Live, she just nails this. It is uncanny and deeply impressive.

Thanks - cool is the right word for that. I wanted to do a jazz festival last summer and missed out and Molde would be right at the top of my list of good places to visit due to the focus on Scandinavian jazz. Very jealous!

I will not be able to make any of the shows myself but there are details of a mini UK tour by Basia Bulat on her website.
Apologies if it has been mentioned already and I have missed it but have not seen this tour referenced anywhere on this thread yet and it may be of interest to some.
Regards
Ron

Saw it the other week - very clever. The Orchestrion broke down towards the end of the show much to Pat's disgust! Enjoy!

Polar Bear
Atomic "Atomic comes this close to being a Scandinavian free jazz supergroup. It allies the top line of Fire House and the Fredrik Noren Band (trumpeter Magnus Broo and saxophonist Fredrik Ljungkvist) and the rhythm section from Element (pianist Håvard Wiik), bassist Ingebrigt Håker Flaten, and drummer Paal Nilssen-Love."
Just got this
Peter Green
Anyone got any thoughts on Atomic or Polar Bear?
