Elvis is back!

Well, I bought this last week on DCC (hoffman remaster) and it arrived yesterday.
I had heard this copy at the Heathrow show a few years back and was more than impressed with the SQ.
I spun it on my naim system and I am nothing short of stunned by how good this is.
Any Elvis fans - You must buy these DCC albums.
The Fever track is nothing short of superb.

Right Wing,
Agreed! I haven't heard the DCC versions, but I've got a Classic Elvis compilation and tracks like Fever and Return to Sender are absolutely amazing. They could have been recorded yesterday. The rest is a bit patchier but most of it is pretty listenable.
I don't know of you're a Buddy Holly fan, but some of his stuff, recorded half a century ago sounds every bit as good. Check out The Buddy Holly Story. It makes me think that most recording engineers have learnt nothing in the last 50 years.
Where did you find your DCC versions btw?

I agree. Have got Elvis Is Back, and the sound quality is awesonme - especially on that superb vesion of Fever.
I have another DCC Elvis LP, a double Greatest Hits set, which is also excellent.
DCC are no longer around, I hear, which is a pity as the company's attention to detail was second to none - superb, quiet pressings, great quality thick card sleeves, beautifully printed...

DCC did a real nice job on the Elvis titles. I was fortunate enough to buy them when they came out. Enjoy Peter, and if you ever get a chance for the 2 lp greatest hits set Kevin mentioned go for it.
Regards
Matt
