Anyone Tried KEF RDM-2 with Naim???
Posted by: king on 01 December 2003
I've been offered a used pair of KEF RDM-2 recently and wondered if they go generally well with Naim.
Based on the good track record of KEF's drivers, I have quite a good feel about this match for now, unless some folks here have a different opinion.
Hope to hear some comments here soon.
Thanks.

K,
The Kef RDM2 is a great little speaker. The RDM2 is a front ported design and work resonable well close to walls (30 cm or so) with 90 dB/w. The bass is limited to say 70 Hz or so, but everyting else just swings. If the price is right grab them but if you have a bigger room you might look for a sub to add a little weight. The drivers are actually a step up from the reference series from the 1990's as the RDM series used cast aluminum baskets (the ref used steel).

Hmmmmm............
Thanks guys for your comments. I think I'll give it a try.
I looked at the specs and know that this pair will not deliver deep base, but now I'm thinking that if you want deep base, sub is the way to go........
