Aro Setup Manual/Instructions
Posted by: Dr. Exotica on 03 July 2002
I've searched around the various forums and the Naim site and have been unable to find an Aro setup/installation manual (for an LP12). Does anyone know where I could find such a beast on-line? If one doesn't exist, I suppose I can always try NANA...
Thanks,
Erik

I just took delivery of a second-hand LP12/Aro/Troika/Armageddon to replace my existing LP12/Ittok/Asak and need to figure out how to put it all together. Everything was disassembled for transport. It did not come with any manuals except for the Armageddon (which is trivial).

Erik:
The ARO is simple to set-up but requires a lot of care to get it dead right. Feel free to e-mail myself (as well as Jonathan) if you need help.
One *very* important point is that the ARO manual states specifically that the small set screw which holds the bearing assembly to the armboard mounting collar should only be done up just tight enough to prevent the bearing/arm from falling through the collar. It's not like the Ittok/Ekos in this respect.

I can E mail you a PDF of my manual if that will help (Paul S - I trust that you won't object to the copyright violation?)
Martin - this would be
terrific if Naim does not object. This week I took delivery of a second hand Aro/LP12/Troika/Armageddon and it came through FedEx disassembled and without manuals; thus the need for the manual.
Jonathan and Mark - thanks for your kind offers. I will try the PDF route with Martin first; this will save you the trouble of receiving lots of tedious emails from me.
