You know the deal (if not google it and Radio 4).
Your 8 top tracks (one favourite in bold), a luxury item and a book (complete works of Shakespeare and a religious novel are a given).

For me:
1 Little Wing - SRV
2 Stay Free - The Clash
3 Holiday Song - Pixies
4 Terraplane Blues - Robert Johnson
5 Acension - John Coltrane
6 Bob Dylans Dream - Bob Dylan
7 Halelujah - Jeff Buckley (BOLD)
8 America - John Fahey

Luxury Item - Gibson J45
Book - Kinky Friedman Crime Club

There was an old DID thread a while back.

May i have some details on the "luxury item" exact meaning?
Posted on: 24 February 2009 by Chris Kelly
It seems to be entirely up to the castaway Gian. In theory you cannot choose anything which would help you to escape from the island (eg a Sunsseker!) or to give you shelter whilst there. John Major (former UK Prime Minister) chose the Oval Cricket Ground!

For the rest i count on memory.

Good choice although I think I would choose Jonas Hellborg or Gil Evan's version of Little Wing
Posted on: 24 February 2009 by JamieL
Lemmings - Van Der Graaf Generator
River Song - Red House Painters (Mark Kozelek)
Symphony No.5 - Ralph Vaughan Williams
No Quarter (at Earls Court 25th May 1975) - Led Zeppelin
Shhh/Peaceful - Miles Davis
Parabol/Parabola - Tool
Cherokee Lane - Tangerine Dream
Know Where to Run - Orbital

Book: 'Polaroids from the Dead' Douglas Coupland
Luxury: My cat (if allowed) I can live without some things, but I am completly lost without a cat.

Very hard to miss out on Yes, Underworld, Kraftwerk and Dead Can Dance.

Funny, I disliked John Major as prime minister, but since then he has done one thing after another to impress me, The Oval Cricket ground is an excellent choice as a luxury, although I do prefer Lords. Headingley has been spoiled with the new stand.

I've assumed the complete works of HMHB are available to me by default.
